A few scans of my friend Cal's 1929 RPU. The photos are in bad shape from sun damage and being stored in a drawer. They are from around 1959 or 1960. He still has the truck today.

Me too - his truck (along with Dean Lowe's ) made up my mind to build my current project. I am trying to restore/refresh the photos - but the originals are almost faded away.

    This information from Flickr:

Two planes from the 613th Bomb Squadron after a collision on July 6,1944 while forming up for a mission to bomb a V-1 site in the Pas de Calais. The field was very foggy that morning and the mission had already been called off once, but was reinstated by 5:00 AM.
    The two aircraft involved:
    "Sweat'er Out" (IN-H)
    Lockheed/Vega B-17G-5-VE Flying Fortress
    s/n 42-39932
    613th BS, 401st BG, 8th AF
    Scrapped after this accident.
    "Pistol Packin' Mama"
    Boeing B-17G-1-BO Flying Fortress
    613th BS, 401st BG, 8th AF
repaired and was later shot down by flak on the July 20,1944 mission to Leipzig. 7 POW and 3 KIA (1 chute failure and two were killed by German civilians).

    regards,Rod:)

There can't be too many pictures posted of MM. She is stunningly gorgeous. So far, there are no other photos of any other women on this thread that can compare.

The radial engines be built in the second picture were used in B=17's during WWII.

He's still supposed to put on a heck of a show. Hope to see him perform someday.
