More than once I've started a Photoshop here knowing that my skills are decent yet quite slow only to delete it upon seeing someone impatient repost.

no body is making you contribute, if you choose not to do one , just don't. We the asses of the world no not know if it take a minute, or a day to make a white top. We enjoy the efforts , but don't comprehend what is involved.
Try to have as much patience with us, as you do with your skill. we appreciate your concepts, don't appreciate your assessment of who we are. Just say, "that's to much work for me to do" You are not the only talented SOB on this site. Step aside with your smart mouth comments. :)

verde742 you have never contributed to this thread. Your ignorant rhetoric is stale. Perhaps your IQ hovers around a stack of wet cardboard at room temperature. You know the old adage...better to remain silent than write and remove all doubt.

    nitrobrother, carry on.

Tried getting some help with color choices on The Boy and I's project.
Like to see it in a few different colors. Yellow, orange or anything you think might fit it.

The paint in this pic is wet from a car wash and is in quite bad shape. The body is solid.

Could one of you change the main body color to silver and leave the fenders and aprons black?

You can never go wrong with a two tone on these early trucks ;)

I know you didn't ask for opinions, but I think that truck looks perfect in green. And if the paint looks that good wet, is there a chance buffing would bring it back to a respectable condition? I sort of like my trucks a little "used" looking anyway, but that's just me.

    Ruben,
You did a great job, Thank You. The boy loves the look. Not saying that is what is going to happen, but it sure gets the ideas going.

    Roddiniron,
We are going to drive it for the first year in this painted condition. One of the reasons to paint it is to preserve it. It is rusting from the inside out.

  24. tlowe, that's a pretty truck...I don't really follow what you are saying though. Bad paint, solid body. Then you are going to paint it a year from now to preserve it because it's rusting from the inside out (which most do)...

We are going to get it running with a new drivetrain and safety equipment. Drive it that way to work out the bugs for summer of 2014. Winter of 2014, take the whole truck apart and repaint it, inside and out. The only rust through it has is on the floor board. There is surface rust on body and insides of fenders, hood and cab. Need to get that under control.

We really like the 2 tone idea.

    Pro 48,

Love the looks of the 68 chevy, especially the front "bumper". I have been playing with idea of putting a roll pan on front of my 61 chevy truck. Attached pic is not my truck but I like the stance and color. Could you smooth out the roll pan and put same bumper as your PS 68? By the way I love the color too, Im a light blue fan...

    Thanks
