The shop I have been using for my chrome work here in Eastern Pa. has changed over to "spray chrome" only. This looks decent on some stuff and obviously has great environmental compliance advantages but it just isn't the same. I've checked with the big shops but the turnaround time is pretty long, eight to twelve weeks in most cases. Does anybody know of a shop in this area that might help me out here?
limbradis in middeletown near the harrisburg airport. I talked to them at hershey and teir rates for hemi valve coverd seemed decent and they seem to only do show quality finishes. have only heard good things about them

Librandi's has done different things for me over the years and I have always been pleased, they just did my windshield frame for my 34, excellent and I did not think the price bad, about 5 weeks I think to get it done.
Librandi's is close enough I can drop things off. I am checking into all your suggestions. Thanks much!

Nice work there! I've had excellent results with Advance Plating. They do beautiful work. My problem is I get a bunch of clients in here who just don't want to wait. I used to take my stuff to a guy in Norristown who was running a somewhat covert, but very timely, operation. He has closed up and I only used him on stuff I needed quick as the quality was not as good as Advance by any means. He did do OK work though and was compe***ive with Advance price wise. There used to be a similar small shop in Pine Grove, also gone now due to tightening EPA requirements. I spoke with several polishing shops around here that offer chroming services but they all just send it elsewhere and do the middleman thing.
Years ago I used Lemon Grove but that was a long time ago,I don't know if they are still in business. HRP

Metal Restorations, 2127-35 Margaret St. Philadelphia, Pa. 19124 215-289-4944 Had a nice display set up at Hershey, Had a bumper that was untouched on one end, then about 5 different sanding grits, copper plate, polish, nickel, chrome. No one around Wednesday morning to talk to, so I don't know anything about them. Hope it helps.

When I had my shop I used to take a load in every two weeks to Reading Plating. That was some years back when the father was still alive and ran it. He was a tough guy but always treated me good. Now the son has taken it over. I haven't heard anything about it lately but maybe would be wroth a try. It would be close for you. They always did nice work for me with two week turn around. I think it is still in on cotton street. Tom
I used to take a lot of stuff to Reading Plating back when I was building bikes. Once again it was when the Dad owned it. I'll give them a shot. It is definitely the closest to my shop. I'll stop in tomorrow and see what it's like. Thanks to everybody for the info!!!!!
We've used Hauck's metal polishing/plating in the Fleetwood/Lyons area quite a few times . We've always been happy with 'em .
The last time I talked to them they said they were going to only do the spray chrome stuff. Not sure if this is true or not? By the way, why don't you stop being a stranger and stop by sometime?
Hmmm ... it's not that long ago we used 'em . That will **** if they switch to spray chrome - they were plenty reasonable on the wallet for a good chrome job . Yea , I know , it's been a while since I was over to your joint . I've been busy with stuff on my end . I'd like to see what you've got in the shop . Soon , my friend ...
