Can anyone here identify this car?

I'm guessing late-30s Mopar, based on the wheels. That is my grandfather in the picture, which I believe was taken about 1940.

Has no one noticed that one of the two in the photo is a woman and the photo info says "Mom and Uncle Roy?" How does that fit with "Uncle Jack and Uncle Ernie?" The address is 4533 S. Main in L.A. which is plausible.

I have contacted Denise and have given her the site to look at what has happened. I am waiting to hear what she thinks. She seems like a very down to earth person and hope she will like what we think of her

OK, I'll clear it up!------Uncle Roy was my Mom's uncle, that pix is of him & his wife in 1941 at their gas station out on Imperial blvd. in the Lennox area just East of LAX airport.
Back then, Imperial blvd. was just a 2 lane highway running West to East.
Did you notice the sign in the window that said "Notary"??---I guess he did a little of everything back then.------Don

Thanks, that makes sense. I guess everybody did everything they could in those days. Notary was probably a good source of a few extra dollars.

Well whatever they're called they look better than the latest trend of the bowling ball/cantaloupe look.
