Five spokes have been around my Dad and his friends since the 60's. No name or markings they are 15 x 8.5 & 15 x 7 . The slick were on the Cooper & Walker FED that raced here at Windsor Dragway.This one of the original shirts.And the rare General Jumbo wheels 14 x 6.5 on my 34 coupe.

Not real sure what constitutes OLD or RARE in the world of hot rod wheels but here are mine on my 1939 Chevy coupe. These wheels were manufactured by Western Wheel company (maybe in the 70s or 80s, not really sure). In any case, I do not know when they were manufactured but they are rare enough that I cannot find any wheels like them currently for sale. Also, I have had several offers to buy them but as you can see, I did not sell them. Any help on vintage and history profile would be appreciated.

i was so stoked to find a complete set of those accelco slot mags in my f100's bolt pattern. i scooped them up, but when i got them one had some damage, nothing major but needed weld repairs. try as i might anybody i could wrangle into welding it up, (professional wheel repair shops included), could not find any rod that would stick to the aluminum. had several guys tell me the aluminum might have been a low quality alloy with pot metal in it or other impurities. cheap aftermarket 60's wheels i guess...

i was bummed id never seen them before and new they would look great on my shop truck. ended up selling two of the good ones as rear wheels for someone on here. oh well, now i have one good one and one damaged one as wall art.

someone else commented on that photo on fb and offered that they're possibly made by some dude named curtis who worked for boyd.... that could be valid as i've never seen another example like this....

Yep....Mike (Curtis) made 'em. I designed them. I'm a vintage wheel freak, but lucky in that I get to design all new wheels, wheels that coulda/shoulda been made!

Found these Old ones.. 15x7ish ... 5 on 5-1/2..aluminum center, rim was chrome, but not in good shape, but some reproduction corvette ralley trim rings seem to work.... stainless center caps needed a few layers of tape to make them 'secure'...

Heavy oxidation on centers and they had a rough life... but what the hay...they cleaned up a bit with wire brush and scotchbrite... better than the 90's wheels that were on there before... and just do not see many of them.

Found some similar on this site... look like M/T raders anyway

Pretty sure these wheels were called Western Bullets. They had a large center cap. Now you know the name, just type in "Western Bullet wheels" into google (or whatever) and click on the image tab.

Ratmotor: Magnum 500 wheels were 1st sold as an aftermarket rim in about '65-'66. Mopar offered the chrome version as OE in '67 on the GTX and R/T. GM offered them in the painted w/trim ring 14" in '69 on SS cars. AMC used them on the AMX and Javalyn(spelling?). Ford used them on the '69 Boss cars. Hope that helps.

My 78' Ranchero has the Western Bullit wheels , 15" by 8 fronts and 15" by 10 rears with 265 - 50 -15 and 295 - 50 - 15 TA's

And to help it handle better I put on a Ford Racing rear sway bar, along with the tires it is like a big go-kart

After 33 yrs now it just sets because I cant get it past the smog here in so-cal, what a shame for us gearheads

If these came on a Chevelle they must have the wrong center caps. Chevelle should be SS as far as I know. Thanks!
