    The side trim?

  5. I take it the Olds is a phantom construction? Olds didn't do a production delivery, did it?

I saw one at the L.A. Roadster Show a few years ago. According to the display sign with the car, GM made one for each of the Oldsmobile assembly plant superintendents ... 6 or 7 cars.

i don't believe Olds made any factory deliveries. there was another thread about this. lots of differing opinions.

  8. Not to step on anyone's toes, just my $0000.02: If a handful were built by/for the assembly plants, then there should be some paper documentation of the builds, or some first-hand recollections by factory people, or some original period photos of one or more cars. Something that indicates that such a vehicle existed in 1950.

If none of these things are available and it appears like a car or cars just suddenly showed up several decades later, most historical authorities, appraisers, etc. are going to raise one eyebrow.

  10. 1316 built in '42 - no breakdown by model but looks like there were three: 2GA, 21A & 29A,
Olds Sedan Delivery: Standard Catalog of American Trucks says there are reports of 1 prototype Olds Sedan Delivery made in 1950. Chances are the one in the above picture is a Pontiac with an Olds front clip.

It had the Olds dash & steering column. I'll see if I can find the photo.

In about '77 I had the chance to buy a '35 Chevy delivery with glass rear side windows. It will always be one of my big regrets that I didn't buy it.

  16. Found pics of a 59 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery that I owned at one time. Only had a bench seat and a plywood cover over the rear seat. The tailgate was 2 piece. Mine had some military markings on it and green paint under the white. Rear quarter windows were standard in 59 instead of the panels. Just over 5100 produced.
Not sure if this has been mentioned but if you put "Sedan Delivery" into Bing Search, you will bring up a group of images that seems like a thousand pictures of Sedan Deliveries. All shapes, sizes, and makes.
