    You would have thought that I would have picked up on that as much of a railfan as I am. There was a mislabel on the pictures somewhere and I embarrassingly blindly followed.

    Lucky Lady II - the first aircraft to fly around the world nonstop. The fuselage of this one still exists and resides at the Planes Of Fame air museum in Chino, CA.

    I dunno, deregulation could mean each crossarm is a different provider.
     
  11. It's hard to imagine what happened with some of the horrific crash pics from years ago. Can't even tell what kind of vehicle this one was. Certainly the outcome had to have been quite tragic for the victims

  21. Ugly but they worked when car's heaters had the out put of a cigarette! They were plastic like a Jeeps cloth top windows and stuck to the inside of the windows.

    Or the jack takes the weight off the front tires so the actor can "steer" the car to match the scene on the screen behind him.
