Point well taken... I have the rear kick up for more space and I want to incorporate the old frame (the previous vision) but want to adjust the front set up. So to my questions are: what front axle drop? or just wait on the assembly and then go from there? (What Eric said?) I think some playing around and some drawings are definitely in order here...

    yes
except what is that frame/running board thing under the body?

to your earlier question, Can you make the body fit the rear wheels so it looks just right--Yes, we have faith in you :)

You can even make some cutouts of the profile (frame, wheels, engine, body) and mess with the kickup and maybe z'ing the front. A few hours messing with some paper may help in the end.

A lot of guys will feel differently than me on this, but if you're running dirt track front tires you NEED dirt track rear tires. Street tread (the two you just posted) don't look right when combined with dirt track tires.

If you're dead set on using the fronts then look for different rears. If you like the street tread then choose a matching front.

Mixing styles confuses the overall look.

Ok but they don't make these in my rear size? 17" rim with 3.25" rim width...

  21. HotRodPro, aka Bruce's Rod Shop did a tech on widening those wheels, well actually they were 18's
I've got those tires on 16X4'S

I'd go with the 6.50-17 Firestone Deluxe Champions on the rear, and matching 4.25/4.50-16's on the front. Sell the dirt tracks in the classifieds here.

The other tires are kind of cool because you don't see a lot of them around yet, but to me they look like trailer tires.

Still, do what you like. Just my opinion as a self proclaimed "tire snob", but you're not running Michelin's on the front or your F150 and Kelly's on the rear in different tread patterns, right?

  29. As far I'm concerned.... You don't need to use dirt-track rear tires just because you're running the fronts. Guys used those ribbed fronts on the lakes, and used regular firestones on the rear or indie tires if they had them! Those wires look great!
