Hey Royal, was that in Colorado about 40 miles south of Cheyenne, Wyoming on highway 85?

 

He says a bunch of parts for these are stored in one of his sheds. Hopefully a mint grille and fenders, then if only he'll sell....

I saw one of those at a swap meet in Denver earlier this year. The seller claimed that it was a rare option and so was worth the big bucks that he was asking.

The one in the woods looks to be in better shape than the one at the swap meet!

 

Probably a flower car. Rare and valuable - not always the same.

 

There is a similar vehicle in the GM Heritage Museum out by the Tech Center. It has fruits and vegetables on shelves and curtains on the side.

 

Definitely not a flower car. It is a rare Chevy Canopy Express truck. Google it.

This is right by my house, I got the ok to sell it. Im thinking late 40's chevy? Everything is there looks like they used the frame for something. So if anyone is in Idaho and is interested in this let me know

There was one for sale a few years back in El Paso, IL that was in pretty good condition. I'll see if I can find the pix.

 

Get it, build it, watch people scratch their heads at shows.

Theres definitely a few pieces I need for my sons truck! just wish it was closer!

 

i always assumed they were just panel trucks with big holes cut in them, never saw one from this angle. this makes a lot more sense

 

Found this today..33 Plymouth. Not much left. You see any parts worth grabbing?

I'd grab that grille shell and the hood off of that 33 Plymouth if nothing else.

 

I agree on the shell. It's half a hood and the side is better than the top. The hubcaps are all good, but I'm wondering about the wheels. Are these artillery wheels? If so, are they the desirable type? The frame looks fairly solid but is there any demand for that? Might try for the gauge cluster...even the dash is toast.

Even if those wheels are desirable, you're only going to end up with half a wheel when you dig them out. That car would make good yard art though.
