Mad 034 how about some pics of your car, that is cool car. The tire sizes are 7.50-16 and 500/525-16. I must give Universal Tire in Hershey PA some credit for being patient with me on the front tires. I first bought 450/475-16 and they looked to small so then I got 550-16 and they looked to big and finally got it right with the 500/525-16. Also no plans to chop the top.
Can't go wrong which ever way you decide on the tank. A 1,000 post thread would end up about 50/50 when it comes to ways of doing a *****in '33/'34 3w. Just be sure to keep sharing the progress. Frank
Josh: Your coupe is lookn' good; nice stance. I heard a rumor that your dad isn't feeling well? Give him my best, hope he is feeling better.
Bowie, you are correct. My dad has had an awful year but he is still fighting. I will tell him you asked about him. The car was just outside of Philadelphia in Media.
PA Gas -- here are a few shots of my coupe. 10 years into the build based on a car my dad built when he was in high school in 1953 in Portland, Oregon.
I'm a snob and don't like model 40's with '32 grilles but I love this car and thanks to the great looking hood the grille looks great on this one.
I want to be careful and not step all over PA Gas's thread -- Thank you gents for the kind words on my coupe. It has been quite an adventure.
Mado34.. What would a person have to do to own it? Man,I love yer car, wish the grille shell was at the bottom of the axle, just 1/4" above bottom of axle. (so not to bump ground.) wrap it up and send it here, NOW !!!!
Hey Josh, Nice to see an update. However you decide to build it, it will look great. Please keep us posted on any progress!!
how the hell did i miss this... what a score!! leave the tank in the rear, its sharp. leave the frame rails on the back to! way to nice to cut up.
That stance is killer.... and although I'm a "chop it!" type of guy, your car looks sweet just how it is!
Time for a long awaited update. I went with an original ch***is that was completely reworked by Old Soul Hot Rod Shop. I got it back a few weeks ago and can't be more pleased with Jesse and Jerry's work.
