Way to go Bill...now drive the wheels off It...and post more down under pictures!

On a side note...my COE is up and running again. I replaced all the valve springs after finding that one broke on my tip to KC.

Built in 10 days! Looks like it too! I understand that "street rods" are politically incorrect, but what the hell happened to a decent paint job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. We basically have 3 usable pick-up sized diesels here, Ford/IH Powerstroke, Chev Duramax, and the Dodge****mins. Of the 3 Ford probably sells as many Powerstrokes in pick-ups as the****mins and Duramax combined, but****mins has owned the market in medium duty trucks for quite a while. Availability has kept the****mins price down, plus hot rod parts for the****mins are more plentiful. (the small block Chevy of the diesel world) When shopping a few years ago, I could buy a complete school bus with a 6BT and an Allison automatic for $2500. I could have dismantled it and gotten $1500 in scrap. I had to be different though, and bought a fire truck to get a 6v53T Detroit.

You are preaching to the converted. I've had a 6BT in my F4 (non COE) for some years. it is also running LPG (propane) injection.

Ya built in ten days, it's not too tough if you don't have to make it "nice". The "rolling on 20's" is a hoot also as that is the stock tire size......

I agree. I think it was done by Welderup for their upcoming TV show.

They look like something that has been made to replace something that was damaged. May have had a tuff life on a farm.

they did a pretty good job with making those fenders!

kinda looks like this one?? wish I had a better shot of it! hard to get the pictures when you cant access the site. trying to connect with the owner still.

  25. Definitely an IH, they had a unique look! this one appears to have a Hendrickson walking beam suspension for the tandems, I suspect that was added at some point. Doesn't look too rotted in the pictures.
