  1. Thanks. Trying to keep up with slammed - no use, he must have pics of every Sedan Delivery around! Nice! "We love Sedan Deliveries!"

  2. Not too many of these bouncing around. '31 Ford Town Car Delivery:

  3. Found this image on one of the Friday Art Show threads here on the HAMB by an artist named "palat." Great work, wouldn't mind seeing this built!

  4. Curious that in '57 Ford used a one-piece rear window:

But went to a three-piece window in '58:

  6. I became infatuated with this body style, since the first time I seen one, in the back of a R&C mag. It was part of a collection kept in a huge barn in L.A. The owners sought out the rare early Fords. I'd love to replicate a hot rod version. So cool

The black '57 appears to be a Ranch Wagon with the rear side windows filled, while the red '58 is a real Courier sedan delivery ... might explain the difference in the back windows.

  15. I've been trying to find a picture of a '33-'34 Ford SD that was featured in a '70s issue of Street Rodder. What I remember is that it was dark green with apple green '35 wires and was built by a "name" builder. Anyone else remember it?

It was a really nice car and I can't find an image on the 'net.

  16. Sounds right to me; makes sense that the wagon window (which opens up) doesn't need the reinforcing bars of the one-piece SD door. Fake sedan deliveries! The horror! :D

My newly acquired 1951 Chev Sedan Delivery

I am a surfer and a panel beater. I was in the US a few months ago and was on the hunt for a long roof.. came across this 51. Perfect for my shop truck and surfboards.

Plan is to fix up some of the rust, add some traditional sign writing for my shop... then enjoy it until I rebuilt it in a few years time.

I will replace with mirrors with drop down peep style ones, git rid of the aerial and bag the rear end as soon as time and money permits.

I think his name was Jim Cherry? from Pa. or some where on east coast nice 34 ford.

  24. Like most Aussie cars, it appears that there are minor differences from the US versions.

Sorry on my 1st post about the green 34 I think it might have been Don Thelen in stead of Jim Sherry his was black.

  26. I had "Thelen" in the back of my fuzzy memory, but wasn't completely sure. I had searched for him, but the search didn't come up with the SD. Back at it...

  27. That is sharp. The rear end looks pretty low as it is! The antenna definitely messes up the lines, as well as those "trucker" mirrors! Good luck with it!

  28. Came across this on the San Diego Prowler's site. Lee Bright's SD with the Buick wires made a huge impact...wish I had a larger scan of it:
