Ya kinda sounds like you have some sticky lifters or rockers out of adjustment?? Shouldn't be a solid lifter car but never know. I ran my car without valve covers and found that one of my lifters is taking its sweet time building up oil pressure so I going to run some marvels through it and hope for the best!

Thanks guys, I guess I'll run some seafoam through it. I heard that stuff works pretty good.

I'd love to see someone put a different grill & front bumper on a '58 or '59 Edsel. I think they'd be gorgeous cars if not for that grill...

Thanks wombat. I'm thinking about putting bell flowers on it but haven't made that commitment yet

Man, I love the grills. Especially the 58. It is their best feature.

Subscribed! Check out my 1959 edsel villager build thread. I hope to have mine on the road before the end of the year. At that point i will probably hire a guy to do the paint.

I would love to see some more 60 Edsel's, not too many out there. 58 and 59's are what everybody envisions when you say Edsel.

Yea they only made them for a few months in '60, i always pay attention and i've never seen one in real life. They are actually quite non-distinct looking.

  27. It was a low budget, "strangely" distinctive restyle.

You'll know what it is when you see one. Picture a full sized '60 Ford. Now imagine the grille and tail lights and some of the other trim jerked around on it so it looks like something designed for export sale to Canada or Australia or someplace. Ford management decided that it needed a grille that looked more like a Pontiac's, and they got what they asked for! :D

You and me both, i'd like to see one customized, I think they have nice lines. The '60 Ford starliner and Edsel are very similar but of course that makes sense

I love the compass style speedometer in the 58's, i don't know why they got rid of that. I have a 59 which just has a needle speedo :(
