Reliable engine, but probably the heaviest for the horsepower that has been made in the last 50 years.

Might need dual wheels on the front axle-----

Luke, there's nothing preventing you from using one of those engines. It just weighs a lot.

Here are some 1930 or so images from Germany. They come from Michi's Vintage Blog out of Germany. He got them from Helmut, who got them from a much larger collection of images.

That is a 1927 Claveau, an experimental mid-engined streamliner:

Here is a model of an (apparently) earlier iteration:

This 1930 endeavour seems mechanically more conventional, but its shape does indeed recall Chenard-Walcker (though if I'm not mistaken C-W were already using that pontoon/tank formal approach in the mid-'20s.)

    More followed after WWII:

Quite a lot here: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/tags/claveau/ More OT is the lovely pre-Romanesque structural polychromy lower on the page. I have no idea how or indeed if it relates to the cars.

I know this is an old post but I like to see the updates from some of you guys. I was giving this some thought and the Honda Goldwing 6 cyl with the shaft drive would make a fine three wheel cyclecar. they are all over craigslist for next to nothing on price could be done rather cheap.

This guy is just about finished with his Morgan 3wheel replica using a Goldwing motor.

Bob, how many other vehicles on the planet would fit into the cyclecar AND aeromotor AND woodframed thread here? I'd bet not many.

Ok,shot in the dark here people.I have been gifted a incomplete set of blueprints for a small cycle type car looks to be 20's era racing car style but only 84" in length single seater.Blueprints say Elwell Mfg. St.Louis Mo. I am in St.Louis so find this interesting Google search of Elwell yielded no real info only a possiable link to a electric motor mfgr. and maybe some tie in to the Detroit Electric Car Co. Since these are 18"X24" blueprints I will need to find a better way to post them other than taking a picture to post. Any info would be helpful.
