Point well taken... I have the rear kick up for more space and I want to incorporate the old frame (the previous vision) but want to adjust the front set up. So to my questions are: what front axle drop? or just wait on the assembly and then go from there? (What Eric said?) I think some playing around and some drawings are definitely in order here... So I took your advice and did a little doodle... Kinda like this stance... What you think? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
yes except what is that frame/running board thing under the body? to your earlier question, Can you make the body fit the rear wheels so it looks just right--Yes, we have faith in you
That is the frame reference line I didn't erase... Ok, I meant more in terms of is this an issue that could ever be accomplished. Thanks for the encouragement.
Lol... So measure out the frame and scale down... I did use a ruler but didn't really measure much...
You can even make some cutouts of the profile (frame, wheels, engine, body) and mess with the kickup and maybe z'ing the front. A few hours messing with some paper may help in the end.
Thanks for the words! I gotta get this exam over with then it's party time, then hot rod time! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

Before I comment, what are you planning for the front? I'm kind of a tire snob, to me they have to work together. I always base rear tire choice on what front tires I can get, or vice versa. My '27 T Roadster build: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t= 734383
Ok they are the same bias ply tires that were on the old front rims earlier in this thread.... Please advise. Whisky Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
A lot of guys will feel differently than me on this, but if you're running dirt track front tires you NEED dirt track rear tires. Street tread (the two you just posted) don't look right when combined with dirt track tires. If you're dead set on using the fronts then look for different rears. If you like the street tread then choose a matching front. Mixing styles confuses the overall look. My '27 T Roadster build: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t= 734383
This is from the Coker website... And they pair these tires Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

HotRodPro, aka Bruce's Rod Shop did a tech on widening those wheels, well actually they were 18's I've got those tires on 16X4'S
I noticed that thread... But I have already variprimed and painted those suckers! Lol so I will go with whatever tire choice I have... Help! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
What diameter are the front wheels? My '27 T Roadster build: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t= 734383
16" but I already have the rubber for those... Lol aaaargh! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I'd go with the 6.50-17 Firestone Deluxe Champions on the rear, and matching 4.25/4.50-16's on the front. Sell the dirt tracks in the classifieds here. The other tires are kind of cool because you don't see a lot of them around yet, but to me they look like trailer tires. Still, do what you like. Just my opinion as a self proclaimed "tire snob", but you're not running Michelin's on the front or your F150 and Kelly's on the rear in different tread patterns, right? I think this A coupe has the tires and sizes I listed above, just to give you an idea of what I'm recommending. Of course, just because I said so means nothing. If you don't LOVE the look do something different! My '27 T Roadster build: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t= 734383
Dropped some base coat and clear on the rims... Took em from the paint booth to the shop. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
As far I'm concerned.... You don't need to use dirt-track rear tires just because you're running the fronts. Guys used those ribbed fronts on the lakes, and used regular firestones on the rear or indie tires if they had them! Those wires look great!
Thanks for the words! I didn't realize what a pain painting spoked rims was I plan to make do with what I have... Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
