Got it all boxed back in underneath so stuck it back on the ground to make sure everything was good.On to the shocks front and back and mounting up the brake booster. Jake
I think you are the only one who still reads this lol thanks for the nice comments I appreciate it. I did a bit of rust repair on the front cab corner. Jake
Just found this thread. Love the truck and how you're building it. I can relate to the challenges as I faced many similar when I static dropped my full size (off topic) blazer. Keep plugging and posting and I'll keep reading! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Lol thanks man. It would be nice to start with a solid no rust truck but that's not the case here so more rust repair this is where the seat mounts in the rear. Jake
There is two layers here I fixed both when I get the other side done i will put the seat back in and re drill the mounting holes and weld nuts to the bottom brace like it was originally. Jake
I read it every time you post up new stuff. Love the build ... Ill try to shoot you an atta boy now and then to make sure you know we are out here Keep up the good work!
Thank you ,your uni is looking really nice. I also started the trans/driveshaft tunnel.Small steps ha. Jake
Kind like reverse progress I got a disc brake 373 gear rear end out of a explorer and I am I the process of getting it in. Thanks for the interest. Jake
Some backwards progress ford 8.8 disc rear end.everything is tacked in now going to make some 1/4" gussets for the bridge. And gusset the 4 link tabs ect.Allso makes the bolt pattern on the truck 5 on 4 1/2 front and back now. Jake
Thank you. Did a bit more work on the rear still lots of gussets, plating, relief cutting and welding to do. Jake
Thank you. Made some end plates to tie in the cross and bag brackets and top gussets for the 4 link tabs. Jake
This is neat - I just picked one of these up myself yesterday. Not sure what I'm going to do with it just yet, but its in damn good shape. SWB with a 292. I will most definitely be installing a Mustang II susp up front eventually.
Merry Christmas to you too.I ordered a 9+3 Rebel wiring kit and got all the wireing off the fire wall.I am gona take the motor back out so I can weld up some holes in the fire wall fish plate the out side of the Z and brace the MM2 cross to the inside of the frame rails make some back bottom arm bolt gussets and get front shock mounts on it . Jake
what backspacing on those 8s? i sat the explorer rear under my uni last week but didn't get it buttoned up due to not having u bolts that would work here at the house. think i got that taken care of and it should be fully in tomorrow and the jag front tacked in for approval to hopefully. I'm thinking 15x6 front and 15x8 rear(supremes)...ken....
4 in back space but I have 1in adapters front and back on this truck. Even though its 5 on 4 1/2 front and back now both front and back has 1 in adapters to turn them back in to 5 on 5 1/2 lol.It allso helps it not have the wheels sucked in look. They are 7 in the front and 8 in the rear both 4 in back space. Jake
