Your truck has got me thinking about the direction on my 3600. I was going to scrap the chassis and go with a chassis swap. After seeing your build thread I just may keep the long bed.

    Great job and nice stance!!!

Why, thank you. I like it too! Keep it long, you can haul more stuff! If your frame is in good shape, just box the whole thing and build off of it. I have a Fatman superlow air setup and a 95 T bird IRS, drives great and I have even autocrossed it!

Here is my '53 3100 5 window with '62 283, SM 465 trans and 8.5" 10 bolt with 2.73 gears to cruise at 70 MPH at 2200 RPM. 11" CPP disc brakes, Omega Kustom gauges and a Champion aluminum radiator. Not much to look at but reliable as the day is long. I have a lot of fun with it.

    That's a great looking truck.
I really like the way it sits, I can't stand to see them sitting on the running boards.

Well, took almost a year but I'm in the club.. picked up this 1950 yesterday and scored some smoothies with slicks today!! Its got a SBC in it, auto. Needs some TLC and the removal of some diamond plate! I'm gonna go with a mild street gasser look. Slicks with the smoothies and might jack the front end up a bit. It still has its strait axle. Well, at least I got a 3100 now! here are some pics so far. -E

We sold the wife's '48 AD back in February so I was out of the cool kid's club for a while, but I'm back in now!

Picked up this incredibly straight and solid '54 cab from a friend, and was given the '76 Chevy crew cab dually chassis (with 165" wheelbase) by another friend. Yep, a ramp truck hot rod hauler will be starting at my house in the near future!

Sure reminds me of my 49 GMC when I was 16...

I still have it and it doesn't look much different today.
