You were asking about a 671 blown Hilborn 4 port mechanical injection on the street. Check out this video. I drive it everywhere. From my house to town, 2500' elv. drop. It was a lot of work, and I do have a dial-a-jet plus trick spool and two low pressure bypass. Merek

I had this setup come into the shop the other day, thought it was pretty neat. I have no idea who set it up but it starts and drives well. Downside to me is the size of the wiring harness ( looks like a nightmare under the dash) and I see no real easy way of running an air cleaner, something I'd want if I was running a blown 392 Hemi ($$$) on the street, especially here where the dirt tends to blow!
Oh yeah, if it was mine I'd rather sweat a little then to have the A/C compressor and alternator sitting up there taking away from the look!

The one pictured in a post above with the chrome hard lines ran down both sides does look better imho.

I'd too like to see the setup done with junkyard Ford injector bodies.

  8. they make a new filter that goes inside the scoop. it looks like a oval. they also make one that hangs out and is very ugly. I'm going polished on mine. I'm also going to polish the fuel rail to help it blend in.

  9. i just received my injector from the polisher. it looks great. does anyone know what the fitting is for at the rear of the injector. number 6an fitting. i heard it may have to do with idle control. also have a plugged port in front.

  10. any new info out there. i got mine up and running. im just starting to tune it.

  11. There is a guy on ebay that sells conversions. I talk with a guy that went from carbs to efi and he said it was incredible. Wish I had seen this before this weekend so I could have picked your brain on what you're trying to do.

  12. im having some tuning issues if anyone is familiar with fast efi. the car is running but very rich. i have been told its due to having four inj. and eight cylinders. fast said cut the inj. in half for the inj.value. 212 lb inj. to 106. that did not work. any one with hands on experience out there.

They used to be avaliable from Hilborn, but not so sure, now. Try contacting Alkydigger or @402BOSSMAN, they might know where Hilborn used to source them from.

Hilborn outsourced those to get made from what I recall. I can ask Don Enriquez the next time I talk to him but nobody is currently making that internal scoop filter to my knowledge. It was a complicated setup from what I remember.
