I have a short list but I've been too swamped to get back to the final selections.

any others news about calendar !

 

even though this is over, and it's a mute point, i still have to ask....why are people submitting photos with their company or personal photography logo on the image?? like, who wants to see that on a calendar?

 

Just because it's on an image here doesn't mean it's on the calendar version. You leave it on here so that when people steal it and pass it around the internet then people know where it came from. I see my photos all over in places where I did not post them and I get more people coming to my site when my name is on my photos than when they're just anonymous.

Pics are also watermarked to (at least in theory) discourage others from using them for commercial purposes without payment to or permission from the copyright holder. I think most photogs aren't so worried about non-commercial usage but would at least like an acknowlegement of their work.

 

I think you mean 'moot point', but anyway...

These are just a lo-rez version of the images and won't actually be used in the calendar. If the image does get picked, then the photographers will have to supply a hi-rez image for print purposes.
