Yeah, with the ciggy only a couple feet from the tank!

Makes me cringe, recalling when my brother tried that filling our lawnmower in our garage years ago, dropped the cig, the spilled gas ignited and spread over the whole 2-car garage floor when he tipped the can over trying to kick it outside. He emerged from the inferno looking like the Terminator. Not badly burned, mostly just missing eyebrows. I was ten at the time, thought he was a goner. We saved the garage.

This could be at the locks at Sault St. Marie in Michigan. Sure looks like it.

 

I was thinking that it was Port Huron, Michigan and that bridge is the Bluewater Bridge to Sarnia, Canada, but now I see the double hump.

 

Nope definitely not Port Huron, although at first glance i thought so too. The bridge in Port Huron is a single arch bridge, I can see it out my front window, and there's actually two bridges now. The one at the Soo looks like the one in the pic and the ship is too close to land to be Port Huron. I know at the Soo you can look down the main drag and see the ships heading out of the locks under the bridge into Lake Superior.

 

That photo of Marilyn Monroe was taken by Joseph Jasgur in March of 1946. She was 19 at the time. Here is another photo taken during that photo shoot, apparently RIGHT AFTER the operation - LOL. But seriously, here’s yet another photo of her (and her mother, Gladys) when Norma Jeane was 2.<O</O

Wow I can't believe it, I took these pictures in June of 1980 before I moved to Arizona just as a rememberance of the way LI was, (never expected to move back). But I was right it is the corner of Jerhico Tnpke and Rte 110. Last pix as it looks today

Autobianchi Bianchina Carbriolet.

Based on the floor and driveline from a FIAT 500.

I used to have a Sedan version of that, a Quatroposte.

But a much more interesting person, George Lucas, had one that he had a huge crash in.

How'd he ever get it going fast enough to do that? I had a Bianchina and a 2 door with a slide back roof years ago.

If I remember correctly, somebody ran him off the road.

These cars, and the OG 500 that they are based on are very underpowered ( stock ), but great handling and have a great balance.

Even more with a couple of modifications, like G L did. ( looking at the pic I see oversize tires and lowered rear suspension to get a bit of negative camber )
