As a reminder, this was not even close to the size of the Spruce Goose. This Russian prototype's wingspan was 174' while the Hercules was 320'.

Not car related,so delete if you think it unappropriate.....but some of the earliest footage ever shot.....it is a collection of films found in a basement and then remastered...if you are interested in history, you'll love it.

7. This Pearl Harbor Day, remember these men and their sacrifice but also remember their legacy is one of action and awareness. Know where you stand and back it up with knowledge.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

1951 Jaguar, now in England, customized in Maryland, then we think California since it was shipped to the UK from San Francisco. June '57 Rod Builder & Customizer had a two page article comparing it with a home built fiberglas look alike special by Bill Scott, Newton Square, PA. The current owner is buying the magazine from me and seeks info on the car prior to 1988.

These mini mansions are fascinating in some respects. Consider the placement of two rooms that flank the entrance. One is called the parlor, and immediately on arrival, the female guests are ushered into that one. The other is called the "drawing room", where the men withdraw to discus the business of the moment, smoke cigars and possibly enjoy a little nip from the well stocked spirits cabinet. If you proceed further into the house it's likely you will encounter next the imposing stairway. The entrance to the dining room will be alongside the stairs, most likely. From then on arrangements vary. After the feast the owners will invite everyone back the parlor, perhaps to enjoy some organ or piano music and an after supper aperitif.
That, folks was high living in the horse and buggy days and later with the first horseless carriages.

19. ^That looks like the house in L.A. where the movie "Ben" was filmed.

The gt40 prototypes were built 2 years before the Muira. The gt40 was really modeled after the Lola T-70.

Ford GT 70, only a few made and never went into production, used on some rallies in France in 1970, 1971.
