    Regarding post #85382,
Thank you Swi66! Coincidentally the Gilmore Car Museum just put a Kaiser-Darrin roadster on display!

Depends on the years they were taken. Nixon and Ford were active politicians years before they became President. Bush wasn't active during our cutoff years.

Australian's have always tried to "take the mickey" out of American politicians and probably the most brazen was in 2007 when "The Chaser" TV Show got a cast member dressed as Osama Bin Laden through two road blocks and within thirty feet of George Bush (the younger) before getting sprung - more hear.

The Western Pacific California Zephyr somewhere in the Sierra Nevada mountains, maybe the Feather River Canyon.

I actually rode that train through the Feather River Canyon on Christmas day 1959 or 60.

The LBJ incident was protest against the Vietnam war. Plenty of anti war types about then. Rent-a-crowd most likely.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when that sort of action is taken as "protest", well I don't agree. I don't think it was a case of taking the "mickey" like those chaser types.
