Just take it to almost any machine or mechanical shop to press it in/out.

    Yup....

  4. I agree with Needs Louvers and Steel Rebel that the door opening needs to be fixed (Funny, I usually do), but I think it looks better where it is than where the body manufacturer molded it. Looks more proportionate to the rest of the body. I would just sand /grind the molded part off and rebuild it around the current door.

    disagree.

I've seen a few that have made me consider it for mine. This one looks like a fairly short wheelbase too, I think the block huggers would keep it a pretty tight, small package.

I wouldn't limit myself to white either, plenty of other colors would work well.

To quote a famous guy named Demming, start with the end in mind.

Nothing looks as bad as a project thats pulling from three different eras or three different themes. And remember, you are building it for you and not for the monkey gallery (thats us guys).

Follow a theme, but make it a theme that rocks you and makes you want to get back out in the shed to get it finished.

And a final piece of advice, buckets look funny if the rear tyres arent at least 28 tall. 30+ looks even better..... Just look at Skips bucket above with the whitewalls.

I don't totally disagree, but I would change the block huggers to slicked up ram's horns. I can think of two or three cars from back in the day that featured that sort of system that really looked right.
