I have seen this car up close and having owned more than one deuce and been into hot rods my whole life I had to do a serious double take first time I saw the car. It is a bad ass car to say the least. I am not a fan of cars that try to be something they aren't so please don't think that this A fits into that category ,it is just a bad ass statement of craftsmanship!
Here is mine, started with 35 pieces... Sold a perfectly good running model A coupe and bought a true basket case.. Working on it off and on for the past 4 years.. getting closer.. Check out the pics in my album...
I know this is my second quote for the night but I am spending my night with quality beer and looking at some of my fav rides. Anyways, vintage is wise in taste cars and words!!!! lol
Thanks WortRod, I'm honored to be quoted. And I'm really shocked that 7 years has passed since 3W Larry started this thread. I went back to page one and reread the thread. Wow! It still blows me away how many of us are addicted to these old Deuces! I'm sorry to say I haven't made any progress on my hoard due to my move to Prescott, AZ. I even thinned the herd a little bit too by selling my blue roadster, the Tub and the Tudor sedan. I'm finally almost done with my three year long torturous home and garage construction projects and moving down here so hopefully my long neglected Deuces will finally see some progress. Here's a pic of them in their new home in the "Deuce Cave" under my house. <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/P9i6Db9sISHPqK_EF3_xO9MTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-BxkzEX9E34k/UFtqkESGOrI/AAAAAAAAHIc/UQb9LV3wQxw/s800/The%2520Deuce%2520Cave%2520017.JPG" height="800" width="600" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/112173005601005135821/TheDeuceCave?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">The Deuce Cave</a></td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/ASW1FynlNIFx0b1tmM_mWtMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HqpFJvDLrAE/UFtqjBIXwPI/AAAAAAAAHGw/xUx3I4RU6CE/s800/The%2520Deuce%2520Cave%2520021.JPG" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/112173005601005135821/TheDeuceCave?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">The Deuce Cave</a></td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/h-oMHK98QNMYL6-zL8QWSdMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XxDGjB0RWWU/UFtqqnLJRGI/AAAAAAAAGuc/-ehIaICjkok/s800/The%2520Deuce%2520Cave%2520024.JPG" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/112173005601005135821/TheDeuceCave?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">The Deuce Cave</a></td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/eyATE-JekhT2kq48zokjw9MTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-46FNeBJCPqM/UC9GObY0WxI/AAAAAAAAGnA/myrbLLDHSYY/s800/The%2520Deuce%2520Cave%2520007.JPG" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/112173005601005135821/TheDeuceCave?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">The Deuce Cave</a></td></tr></table>

I'm back out (where I belong). I sold my Phaeton to Dirtiest Devil since he's hounded me for it and will appreciate it like it should be.
Mine is in the avatar. Don't want to steal views from this great site, but Deuce guys might be interested to know we have our own forum, formerly Deuces Limited. http://hotrodcraft.com/forum/thedeuce/
You will regret that sale when the kids grow up and want to ride in the roadster. I sold mine when I was 40 and wish I had it back but a 73 that isn't in the cards.
I still have my Roadster, here is my second Deuce that will be a keeper for a lot of reasons About 57 years ago And today: And the history is here. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=848240 And if anyone has a nice original right rear fender please shoot me a PM! Thanks! Eric
Here is my current project. Plans are pretty basic: sbc/auto, highboy, solid color, ET-3 wheels, simple interior.
Ron, stay tuned. I think we will be putting something together for the days before the LA Roadster Show, like maybe Tuesday or Wednesday for a bunch of guys that are coming through Prescott on their way to Pomona. PM me your address for the latest issue of the Deuce Gazette, I put a pic of your 5W in the article I did on Deuce Day Arizona.
Dang... me too! But I've just clenched the deal on an A phaeton... on my side of the Atlantic! Cheers, Eddie
The deuce cave looks way cool!!! Great motivation for a guy like me!!! And believe me I need it,lol ( the motivation that is) Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!

Here's mine, frame is completed, now moving on to removing all interior stuff to get the body media blasted and then painting it. Other than the juice brakes and 40 rear end , I'm keeping it original. G-man
