That car is what dreams are made of. I guess they come true for some folks. Did your buddy find it in Michigan?
I'd love to hear the story on finding this one and how it managed to hide out all those years and remain untouched!
He knew about it for awhile. It sat on a hoist in Detroit since the late 50's. The owner got behind on taxes...and selling the deuce was an easy way to get out of debt...
Hi Don, welcome back! The Apache Lodge is a true treasure still left from the "old" Prescott. It looks like it will be a crowd of hot rods coming through this year! I heard yesterday that the Vintage Air Cruise is stopping by too.
...This one is Lew Wolff's 32 that he's had since 65'. Same lacquer paint since 65'...It's got a 289 hi-po that's been in it since then, a 65 Mustang Shelby steering wheel.......and magnesium five spokes on the front...
Holy crap that looks good for aged lacquer paint, makes me want to use lacquer instead of base/clear.
Sent you all my info. I would love to drive up and see all those cars before LA roadster show. I usually head over to LA Roadster show on thur to get a swap space on friday so when you have all the details let me know. Thanks for including a pic of my car in the coverage can't wait to see it.
My steel 3 window on it`s way to a more traditional look eventually. Took a long time to find one unchopped. Flames are coming off and new interior planned. Exhaust, wheels & tires and headlamps changed out already. before & after pics.

Here's mine...getting engine ready to put in in a few weeks...going to run it on an engine test stand and tune everything up before we install it...that way nothing but hooking up gas and electric......I hate having to adjust valves and tune carbs in the car.....I seem to always drop a wrench somewhere.
Acquired this one last month and starting the cleanup. Drove it on and off the trailer which helps in the process. Planning on leaving the banger in place and adding a high compression head, dual 81`s, juice brakes and possibly converting to 12 volts. Looking for various original pickup parts, so if you are hot rodding yours, pm me.
I submit my application to the HAMB Deuce Owners Club. Well,at least temporary until I can get those wheels changed.
First time out of shop....have all the wheels on it finally......still no engine/trans......keeping my one man Sign Shop going is using up my "want to work on car" time........if I can have it ready by Goodguys Nashville, I'll be happy
Just returned from an 11 hour return road trip to the Royals Rumble, this weekend was a blast and were treated Royaly fer sure. The ol flathead purred all the way.
