Way to go Cliffy - That's the kind of integrity that we all want to see in other men. The good thing is it's infectious. Your good deed will likely inspire many of the rest of us to go and do likewise.

After you get the 33 done it would be cool to drive it to Cliffy's Symco Shakedown show. What a HAMB photo op it would be to take a photo of Cliffy sitting in the rescued and now finished truck!

Way to go Cliffy! Way to go 1 Hot Rod! I'm not into naming my vehicles but a good name for this 33 truck build could be something like "1 Hot Rod Cliffy!" It's great to hear about a good outcome.

  7. Just an observer here, don't know any of the involved but a thank you to Cliffy.

Unrelated (sort of) but I put a request on UShip to get a 1960's Suzuki trailbike moved from southern California to mid-Michigan. No rush, uncrated but assembled roller bike.
Only bid was $650. Personal opinion was that was waaay too high for that. My friend that has it and I are going to refigure what to do in the spring.

Shovelhead, you might look up the shippers here, Ben comes to mind, and one of them would combine your task w/other delivery(s) they've booked.

  9. pitman,

I thought of that also. I will probably look at that in the spring. Discretionary (aka toy) money is at zero at the present.

All of this work by Hambers and not 1 picture of those involved in the rescue. Was there ever a pic of the rescued vehicle??? No pics, it never happened. LOL Good luck on the build.

Nice Job Cliffy, way to go! Since you are in a do-good mood how about making good on those 2013 Symco calendars you sold me but never made? Or answering one of my e-mails, or phone calls?

  13. FANTASTIC!! The HAMBers are a pretty good bunch of folks overall. You know who really helped me out, even though I was a complete stranger?

^^^Yep, this guy right here, 117harv. I won't forget it either.

  14. I was way too busy worrying about getting home safe in the ice storm. Satisfying hamb posts was low on the priority list. I didn't do it for the photo opp. I guess I'm old school. Work first. Hamb second. Here is a pic of a puppies instead. Hope that suffices. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1389828169.371912.jpg

  15. I haven't checked show email in quite some time. I gave refunds at the show for a lot of those. Send me a pm with your info and I'll look it up and take care of it.

PM sent. I'm not really concerned with the ones I bought just take care of the 5 my mom bought. She's 70 years old and not on the HAMB or very computer savvy if you could issue her a refund that would be great.
Good job on the truck cab save.

Dam that is good to hear Phil, I thought you were going to be at a loss on the cab. I have never met Cliffy but sure am glad he showed you a good time while you were in the state. There's a lot of good people here in Wisconsin and it's to bad the first guy you got hooked up with was doing you wrong. All it would have took was a phone call on his part to let you know what was going on. Good luck on your project.

Good job on the save and final delivery. Great folks here on the HAMB.
I think the guy who contracted the haul needs a handful of prayers.
Soundslike he's just about a couple of points off jumpin.
