  8. It's crisp because of the depth of field of the photo. I have seen similar photos and doubt very much that they were photoshopped.

Appears to be the same building and men...at the same time ...looks like no Photoshop to me.

Looks like my old car, if it is, that hole was made by my old friend Russ Lawrance . We/ I hit a 59 Chev wagon head on.

    (a water-cooled pushrod V8 w/ 4 (?) over-head valves ... approximately 1914/5)
Recently added to the SDASM archive photo stream - 742 views atm and yet no-one has identified it.
I've only found a reference to Curtiss developing but maybe not actually realising alloy heads, etc., for the OXX6 ... someone here able to solve a little mystery?
sure i could be wrong but i'm also pretty sure there are two inlets hidden in there.

  19. If you look at the left bank, you will see at least three push rods going to the head of each cylinder. That is more than are needed for just two valves. Also if you look closely under the rocker shaft on the right cylinder you will see additional valve springs.

Me and my sister with my grandmother and great grandmother as book ends in the back row. Not sure what the car is, but I know it's a Chrysler product because my dad and his two uncles worked at the Chrysler DeSoto dealership and everyone in the family had a Mopar.

Can anyone find a car newer than a '61 in this photo? Interesting.

  27. If you track straight back from the '58 Plymouth in the foreground I see what I believe to be a '62 Ford Sunliner (probably red w/white top) facing the viewer, sitting to the right of a dark colored '61 Pontiac.

And, almost dead center of the photo is a '62 Oldsmobile 4 door hardtop (parked to the right of a '56 Buick wagon).

2 cars to the left of the same '56 Buick wagon, I believe to be a '62 Chevrolet 4 door hardtop.

Newest I can pick up on my phone...

Sooooo, can anyone see anything newer than a 1962 model year?
