Yeah by now he's probably enjoying that beast. I myself just got a call from Terrill machine, they have rebuilt my fuel pump and it's headed this way

Sadly, no such luck on driving it yet. The engine rebuild is taking longer than i would like. I'm hoping to get the engine & transmission back in the car by the end of Feb. Then, it's just a matter of everything else, right?

Yeah that's the way it goes. Got my fuel pump on then the carb went to crap. Got her done and been driving it now the brakes are suspect at best. Going to start the power brake conversion now.

I think you need to give yourself more credit in order to make this a successful build...

That has to be the stupidest smile I have seen in some time. Something to be proud of to be sure.

His sinuses and lungs will be as black as his face. I am constantly amazed at the low level of safety consciousness some people display.

These are the guys you see later on wearing a mask and dragging a bottle cart of oxygen with them everywhere they go. :(

You and me both. I'm expecting a long period of just making sure everything is in order, then a big rush of putting things back together, probably incorrectly.

Right now, i'm not sure. We're supposed to go to a workout class thing at 9am. I'll run it by Angie and see if she is ok with canceling/rescheduling.

Well guys, i got good news / bad news. The good news is i got a new job. The bad is it's in Columbus, Ohio, and i have to move inside of two weeks. Since it's unlikely that we can find / afford a place with a big garage for the Buick, i'm going to have to hand it over to a shop to finish off for me. Sucks, i wanted to be hands-on the whole way. But i'll get the engine and transmission back from the shop here next week, and i'll put them back in place before i hand it off. Then we'll see where it goes from there.

Well not necessarily all bad news! There's a killer hot rod scene here in Ohio! Hope you find a good place. Lots of good shops around here if you can get the car here. Not sure where your looking but if your willing to get outside the 270 loop you can find some down right affordable places! Good luck on the move.

    Welcome to Ohio!

Best of luck on the new job and the move, Chris. I grew up in Athens, lived and worked in Columbus for a while.
