    Sorry to be a spoiler again, but I think these Getty images above show pedalcars not powered cyclecars, sometimes referred to as velocars. Thery were popular in flat places like the Netherlands but they would be useless in most of Scotland!

    There is a very fine modern equivalent called a Twike which is made in Switzerland and is not cheap and even less cheap when you buy the electrically assisted version. Check them out on Twike.com... Neat eh?

    Ivan Dutton who ran Ivan dutton bugatti , is restoring a Skirrow , his had a v twin Jap and four wheel drive , he is currently looking for some parts and an engine , it will be a lot of fun when it's done

    A bit off topic but this is a really great video on supercharged Grand Prix cars from the '20's and '30's with good commentary on vintage film and contemporary footage. It's about 50 min. long but worth watching if you like this subject.

    I saw this JAP (J.A.P. ; Jap, ...?) quite a few times, but never noticed it has a wooden (bamboo?) steering column.:confused::eek:
