I'm pretty sure one of them was there last year. The car was blue.

I'm trying to talk the Scavengers Car Club into bringing our Rude Stewed. We're a group of 20 car nuts from MN that collectively own, wrench on and race our g***er. It's a fun machine, SBC, Glide with a transbrake, 9." It's been a solid low 12's car, but we're working on a new motor that should put it deep in the mid-11's without much trouble.

I run with the Great Lakes G***ers, who indeed are headed by the Timoszyk clan. We actually do a G***er shoot out every year as part of the Meltdown. Great Lakes G***ers and the Nostalgia G***er ***ociation. The North VS South deal is separate from that. Their will be some members of the Great Lakes G***er involved in the shoot out with Quain Stotts guys but it is not Great Lakes G***ers VS the South. I hope that clears things up a little.

  10. Clear enough, but I bet they want to get in the Rev-0-lution. Check your private messages, Uncledirty, I think you'll like what ya see. PS, I'm sending several pistons for the trophy, then you'll have a choice.

Ric the cars that run in the rev-O-lution has to be real close to the Southeast G***er rules. No big tires, no 4 links you know the deal. We are trying to be as close to era correct as possible with the war, Don't want you or anyone else to travel that far with their knife to find out it's a gun fight. You know what my car will run with a bigger tire and just a few other modern changes. When Joel came up with this idea we agreed to do it as long as the northern cars fit somewhere close to our rules. It worked out good because some of them want to come and race with us at the Greer race so they was going to change over anyway.

  12. Got it. I though that blue Willys from the Tomywhatchamacallit family was a ladder bar/small tire car.?

Good point. The Jr. Stock cars are fun to watch, too. Hoping that some of them show up.

    Ok boys,here's the scoop:
I spoke with Tim this afternoon for about half an hour.He has attended for the last few years, although last year timing dictated that he had to run a borrowed 57 Chevy.

This year he has confirmed that he will be back with his Willys, although he may have it dialed back a bit from previous state of tune, due to an encounter with the wall that he is NOT interested in re-enacting any time soon.

For those wondering if this car is going to show up and lay waste to the field,Tim states it runs in the ten-teens,so it should make for a good race with some of the vehicular murder weapons the rest of you savages are bringing out...:D

    Fellas,this **** is gonna be goooooooooooooood........!!! :D

I'll be there with all my crazy friends from Missouri! Any takers on a mid 12 second drive it 350 miles to the track grudge race? Come on! I need to find someone to sling some mud at! This will be my 4th trip to this event and my only regret is that I missed the first one. Lots of cool cars coming up from Mo. Somehow I live within a few miles of 3 Willys, 2 Henry J's, 2 Anglia's and a Studebaker. Not to mention a pile of Model A's and T's. Dammit! Is it July yet?

Ric I stand corrected if these are the 2 you are talking about. I can't see all the details in the pics but I love what I see, but I'm not the one choosing the soldiers for the north side. I'm starting to get a little nervous it not going to be a cake walk for either side.

Quain, not speaking for Dave or Tim but both of those cars fit your rules and I really great period correct cars. Tim is coming to Meltdowns with his blue Willy's and waiting to hear if Dave is for sure yet.

  26. We are at 193 cars!!!!!! Holy **** this crazy!!!!

So after reading all the trash talk on here ( and grinning ear to ear) I got to thinking that my little Fiat is faster than the rest of the guys that all help put on the event. So it really isn't a challange to race Koop since I always beat his gold 55 even though he claims his foot slipped or whatever excuse he has, and AJ's gm killer bit the dust. The list of people that help put on the event is long and I may need to race all of them.
I may need to branch out and find a close match race with a altered. Anyone got a old vintage hunk of iron they want to line up to me with? I am running a little 301 Chevy with a 3 speed trans. Not much horse power either.
