  22. I'm sure a lot of you caught this, but can you imagine the emotions the crew of this B-17 were going through. I am sure this is one of the B-17's scheduled to arrive Hickam Field the morning December 7th 1941. Hearing over the radio as to what was going on at Pearl Harbor and looking out the window and seeing two Val dive bombers off your wing. More than likely, the B-17 was without ammunition for the Pacific crossing or else the Val's would be nothing more than smoke trails.

    Check out the curb rash on that wide white. Bleeche-White and SOS pads and a lot of elbow grease, but the surface will still be rough. Oh the memories.
