took awhile to catch up.. keep posting them cool old pics this ad really caught my eye reminds me of a pic of me and my little brother somewhere in the late 50's
rbantique, you post just exactly the kind of old pics I love to capture for screen saver files. Love the shots showing people posed next to their cars - even people without their cars. Pictures of everyday life - these old photos need people in them to set a mood. Thank you.
It is interesting to see the similarities between the guys, their cars, their girl friends or wives. It is said that some people look like their dogs... the same can be said of the cars they drive. It would be nice if these old cars we are driving today were able to tell their story. Unfortunately they can't .. but these old images give us slice of the pie.
I like the Studebaker girl. I'm going to paint her name on my fender skirts. Well, maybe one side I'll leave Betty on the other. Great pictures!

The images of people transplanted into the car photos are provided when you follow the link posted in #1434 the images in this thread are believed to be vintage originals (except where noted as above) to the best of my knowledge. .When taken from the internet one can never be 100% sure. Some I have posted have been cleaned up from imperfections or watermarks , contrast added, cropped when needed, and such.
Thanks I'll be able to sleep again. Im going through some old family albums now and hope to post some pictures soon.
