    I have a YC-346 HP and a YC-365 HP and a YC-291 HP, all different length shafts.

    Anybody with a old Mallory catalogue who can ID THEM?

    Thanks!

    From what I can find;

    Mallory YC-365-HP is for Mopar RB (longer shaft)
    Mallory YC-346-HP is for Mopar B

    Oops too late

    Seeing that we have the big blocks covered, a small block mopar distributor measures 3 7/8" from the bottom of the hold down lip to the end of the shaft.

    Thanks Jim!!! Definitely saving that!

    Regardless of the prefix, looks like 291 is for 55-57 Plymouth and Dodge.

  8. Remember that the big blocks (350,361,383,400,413,426,440) spin counter-clockwise and the small block and early V-8 hemis and polys spin clockwise as viewed from the cap end...

    Thanks 30dodgeboy, that was on my mind.

    Which eliminates them from EARLY hemi use.

    Anybody know if the 291 Dodge/Ply piece would have cw rotation and would work in an early hemi with ghe correct shaft length?

    Thanks!!

    OK the way this reads the 291 fits 55 Plymouth/Dodge. That would be the low deck 241/259/270 hemis & Polys & the later A & LA family(if I'm reading it right). That means it's too short to fit the other Hemis. You didn't say what Hemi you have. Someone a while back said that either the B or RB shaft, if put in a modern LA dizzy would be the right length to fit the 331/354 but I never saw a post as to weather it was the B or RB. If you have a low deck Chr maybe you can figure it out & post the results.

  11. I have all of those (B,RB,LA) parts to do that experiment, but not the time right now - possibly next week.
