I had often wondered why Koop's roll bar did not have a cross bar behind the seats. Once I viewed the incriminating video, I realized he must have gotten tired of hitting his funny bone on it while "shiftOsizing", and had to remove it. :0

 

You don't have to tell me about time I'm trying to finish two cars at once seems like there is not enough hours in the day especially when there are customer cars in the way guess I better get back to work so you guys can practice your speed shifting exercises lol

I wonder if he got that workout from Herb "McShifthandles". or "Ronnie Socks".?

 

I'm gonna think six months! That 169 number is too scary.

 

I have a suggestion for us that don't know who could be there to race....what if we put a time--in very small numbers--in the left corner of the back window so you can find others that are close in time to you? Say if you ran 14.30s, just put a small 14 on the window. And not in huge letters, just maybe and inch or two high? Just a suggestion!! In any case, I cant wait until July! The Big Gas Falcon is ready!!

I look at it this way...Koop has 169 days to work his arm muscles to try and keep up with "The Okie Doker". He will need every trick up his sleeve to keep up with The Mob.

He may also want to spend some time tuning that Field car of his.

Just curious do they call this the Meltdrags because its going to be hotter than hell or because of the tire smoke and the sacrifices to the aluminum gods.

 

^^^ it's name partly due to the Byron Nuclear plant that looms off to the southwest.

That name describes the aftermath to the Northern boys, after the Southern Rebels come a call'n. Some will have emotional meltdowns, some will experience a staging meltdown, and others will experience family meltdowns when they are no longer allowed in there own household after they had the "silly putty stomped out of em". But, the most serious cases, will be the actual melting down of their beloved racer in the wake of they're guilt, self loathing, and inescapable disgust of there own public flogging.

 

Panneton- we made a few runs this fall and she will hold her own against the Field Car. I more than likely will change the gears to launch more like Falfa...

Funny True Story - that same 18spl 833 in that video was the same exact trans I used to run when I was 19yrs old in another 55....30 DodgeBoy fixed it once when I destroyed it....and it sat in a friends storage building for 13 years...then back into this 55....
