Thanks Dan! A fine compliment. Is 3D modeling work welcome here too? I have a few prototypes I'm working on.

Love the caricature massive headlights, and the reflection effects are awesome. I could learn a lot from stuff like this.

    Hi Gents,
Here's another from my line of classics. These are a couple of Packards done with Prismacolor pencils on white Stonehenge paper. About 15 x 17 inches.

Mmm, I remember prismacolor pencils. Nice work gbritnell!

So, if 3D stuff is acceptable, here's my little wrecker prototype. If it's not welcome y'all can yell at me later.

    Hi Guys,

First things first, a huge thankyou for all the support and comments, not to mention the e-mails from my very first Art Show attendance last week.

I'll post a few photo's of current Hot Rod sculptures I'm in the middle of once they are near to being cast and available for sale.

In the mean time and in response to a lot of mail I've been getting relating to the back-lit images on my web site, here is the latest image I've nearly finished. It still has to be sized and printed as a Dura-transparency. Then mounted. As alway I expect it'll be big, once complete. I guess around four foot wide.... The light boxes are all custom built, powered by LED's.
Anyway enough of the tech stuff... enjoy the image and if you want to read about or see the other back-lit stuff I do, go visit my site, www.speed-still.com
And once again thanks for the warm welcome.
    Terry.

I agree. I'd love to have some technical information about how it's done.

So I finally got around to doing traditional darkroom contact prints of some of my photos. Here are a few hanging to dry.

    Secret.....
Each image starts as a photo of one of my sculptures or a shot I've taken at a show of a real car. It's then onto my mac for a few weeks. Tons of tools in photoshop and free hand drawing then takes place. Once happy with the image, it's off to a digital shop to order the dura-transparency. This, once i'm happy with the size, gets compressed mounted onto acrylic and attached to a custom built light box.... Led's, a few wires later and... Done!
