So I tried loosening the bolts that hold the perches in place... No dice after overnight with PB Blaster. Time to pull out the oxyacetylene torch!

  19. when pulling my front end apart I used oxyacetylene to heat the nut a power bar and a piece of 2 foot long 1-1/2 pipe to get enough leverage to crack the nuts loose, after that I used the rattle gun.

Would u set pinion angle with this bracket? Or weld it straight, and use the ladder bars to set pinion angle... After seeing where the driveline angle ends up?

Not really sure, but my thinking says that the fewer parts that bind the better, the spring and bushes/shackles will cope with some miss alignment however it'd be better in my opinion to set the pinion angle first then get the spring Mount dialed in.... my 2c

Ok, but I am ditching bones for ladder bars as bones aren't even close for correct pinion angle... I mean I will need a 12" bracket! Unless they are adjustable? Would u go with 3 deg bracket as a starting point? Or drop in flatty with intake level and work backward, with pinion angle shared between bracket and ladder bar, or ladder bar or bracket individually?

Did you get your perches out? When I tore down my model A I had to heat the nuts up and use a long snipe with a pipe in order to get the nuts off. The perches were so rusted into the axle I had to cut the threads off and put the whole shebang into a press. Pain in the ass.
