Ok, time for me to call-in a favor. I've been named "Car Wrangler" for a new action-drama series being filmed for cable tv in my home town of Rochester Ny. I'm putting out an open invite to all the local car guys that wouldn't mind seeing their car in a TV series. Filming begins March 1st with some limited indoor shots due to weather limitations and will move outside at the end of April. This is a fully insured production company and I can ***ure you that any car involved will NEVER be driven by ANYONE other than the OWNER. We are looking for cars with high-pro looks and that "WOW" factor to make this drool-worthy. Please, if you think you'd be interested, PM me and I will give you more details. Also if you have a cool shop or garage, we may be interested in using that too. Thanks, Dave
come on, where are all the Rochester guys/gals..??? Spring is just around the corner and I need to have some cars lined up for The month of May.
Can you limit the drama? Too much of that already on tv. How about a hotrod show, for the hotrodders by the hotrodders? Good luck in this venture. Hope it does work out and spreads the gospel.
Good luck with yur task....have a friend that does it locally - it isn't easy -sometimes he ends up with the car(s).... lwf
It's like a ****ty food cheap buffet. "Hey you know, this food ****s...." "Yeah but we get to eat a lot of it". Just disappointed in the **** that is on tv. Don t watch much. To bad they can't feature real builders with real history.
True, but if they have a sign out front that states, "****ty Food", people really can't complain. I have a lot of respect for the guys trying to do those shows, but the reality is, life is boring. If someone filmed where the average person worked, it would be boring as hell. It's the same with shops. I spent all day in a couple and if the pizza was late, THAT was the highlight of the day.
guys, guys...FOCUS...this is a locally produced show using local cars built and driven by their owners...and we are as far from Hollywood as you can get. People ***** about everything...some guys just want to take their rides to car shows....F-THAT...This show is giving them an oppertunity to DRIVE AND show off in a quality made TV show on a major cable channel. Stop whining and DRIVE. BTW: local response has been HUGE, the Rochester area car guys ROCK.
When is it due to hit the airwaves? It is ludicrous to be judgmental of a show that hasn't been televised,I'll give it a chance. HRP
This is NOT a build-show...this is an action-drama about undercover cops in fast cars chasing hot girls in hotrods. My job is to find the right cars to meet the needs of the script. We are putting together a shooting schedule for spring and will be working into summer for a release date of Sept. This will be aired on the sports channel on Time Warner Cable. I will keep everyone informed as we near production, please be patient as I've been swamped with response to this.
In the movie the naughty girls are riding with the owners of the hot rods, and the cops are chasing the hot rods in hopes of nabbing the girls? Are the hot rod owners/drivers the naughty girls boyfriends?
just a quick update...things are moving forward, just need an early spring. Production crew pics this weekend for promotional packages. I'll be sharing those when the time is right. The out-pouring of support locally has been overwhelming, who knew there were this many great cars in the Rochester area?
