  4. Those COE' s all look to be done fairly nice.

  5. I like the green GMC! Would the 308(302 +.030?) inline 6 get it down the road at modern speeds?

Crazy prices for sure on those COEs'!! I doubt an inline 6 would get it down the road at modern speeds. You would have to change out the rear end to a lot taller gear......

...sale pending on these rite now; will know soon what's left; they are $85-100, +shipping. They are handrawn on 1x10 white pine and are aprox. 32-4 " long, cleared with 2 coats satin varnish. Still working on others.
    thanks for your interest.

i love COE trucks and have had several in the past but had to sell them to pay bills, & now I cracked my number 14 tooth in half! so I need an implant tooth? So my 54 C-900 Big Job COE truck cab has to go! It is a very nice find! cab is solid, came from a dry climate and still has the original paint & signage on the doors great patina, located in Lincoln, Neb. my be some one from the HAMB could put it to better use than me just moving it around.

OK hear is what I've been up to: 1948 w/Flathead, T5, Speedway 6" drop axle widened, van 9", stepped frame, Step is 6.5" off ground, Bed Mocked up, Bed will be 57" wide. Little different approach hope you enjoy it. JT.

  22. Part of a series GQ did with various car collectors; this one is with comedian & actor Tim Allen & he's got a Stude Crew Cab in this clip (there are more pieces with him & each is about 4 minutes max).

  23. That is a sleeper cab, a crew cab would have more than 2 doors.

  24. Apologies.
Got my nomenclature wrong. He even says sleeper in the video.

    Seth,
The step looked pretty good to me. You know the average Joe won't know what a factory step looked like. Don't be too tough on yourself.
Named the truck "THUD". Yes Flat motor 239 with T5 is the way I'm going. Got new water pumps installed, cleaned about 300 lbs of dirt and grease off and then pressure washed every thing. I've been cleaning and sorting things out for about 3 months. I'm ready to put it back together. My birthday is in May It will be done by then. Well done might be to strong of a word, drivable. I***** at electrical stuff so consider that the biggest challenge. I'll figure it out.
The stance of Thud is an inspiration form your build. You nailed the proper look for a COE truck. You have also done so many cool custom touches.
I'm thinking Drive then put my fingerprint on it.
Best of luck, keep the faith
    JT
