Bill Hurst out of Mattoon, IL owned the Monster Mash Too. An R/Stocker that I believe was far removed from the original Monster Mash cars of Spanakos.
Are any Jr. Stock racers going to this years Byron Meltdown? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=855327&page=19 It's probably known more for the gas class cars, but it's a vintage drag meet, with all vintage appearing cars welcome. Dragsters, A/FX's, Stockers, Super Stockers, Hot Rods, etc. It's as close to an actual 1966 drag meet as you will find. It would be very cool to see a large turnout of Jr. Stockers, there.

Someone posted the following, Wayne Jesel is re-creating YOO HOO TOO. I believe there were two Yoo Hoo Too trucks or cars. I remember seeing them at the drag strip and when they towed them one was on a ramp truck and one was on an open trailer and both were painted up with the Yoo Hoo chocolate drink colors and they looked the same. I am thinking one was a sedan truck and one was a car my maybe both were sedan trucks. It was a long time ago back between 1976 and the early 80's when I saw them. Jimbo
If you're referring to the cars/trucks themselves (Sedan Deliveries were actually sold as trucks), there was an "early", and a "late", paint job, same car/truck (same story with Tokyo Rose). The blue and whited "striped" or white and blue striped "striped" version is the later, and more popular I think; the car/truck is being re-creacted in the earlier version of Firemist Gold with red stripes on the roof. Being deliverie's were "trucks", and the hydro being an option in trucks, NHRA/AHRA let them run the hydro until they wised up in 71 (?). After Supinski took possesion of the car/truck, and the rules changes outlawing the Hydros, he converted the delivery to a 2 door station wagon running a Powerglide. Then it vanished after going to Canada to another owner. I'm not sure of my Sedan Deliveries history, if it was a drag car or not, but it does have a SEVEN leaf spring pack in the rear, one more leaf than stock, and some other "mods" I'm not sure of. I think a lot of these cars went back to the streets after their race days were over, or just got parted out all together. I'd like to know what happened to John Dianna's Sedan Delivery, if anyone knows. Yeah, I got a thing for Sedan Deliveries. Butch/56sedandelivery.
John's car is buried at the far end of the Muncie, Indiana drag strip. He was there one year during the Indy Nationals and totaled it. He stripped it and left the shell there and the strip manager had it buried there. Ted

Yours truly had to drive the hauler back to CA. while Johnny rode home in the back of Joe Allread's 58 chevy tow car. John's sedan delivery was sold to Dick Butler. I believe it later became a station wagon.
Heres John's old delivery Gary. It went to Lloyd Dickson in Nebraska before going to Dick. Ive got photos of the delivery being converted buried somewhere. A couple photos of the delivery can be found in the Junior Stock book.
That makes at least two 56 Sedan Deliveries that got converted to Handyman Wagons (YOO HOO TOO, and John Dianna's). I like those 150 Handyman Wagons too. Butch/56sedandelivery.
We received word that, late last night, Val Hedworth II, 41-year-old son of Val and Cathy Hedworth of Bevier, Missouri, succumbed to injuries suffered in a one-car traffic accident while on his way to work early yesterday morning. Val senior was a Stock/Super Stock icon of Division 7 during 70s, 80s, and 90s but they have made their residence in rural Missouri for the past 20 years. No details about services have been provided. Your thoughts of condolence for the family will be greatly appreciated at this difficult time. c

It was nice of NHRA to allow a superseded transmission in Corvettes. That was how Dianna/Ripes got to use the later aluminum glide, not that they couldn't have gotten a cast iron one to work, but the aluminum trans is just gobs lighter.
