Hey guys...just picked up an A rear crossmember and spring to use in my T and need to know just how high the crossmember needs to be compared to the rear axle.

I'm installing the crossmember now in a spring behind fashion, but will be keeping the coilovers for this summer.
The cross spring will be installed next winter.

Thing is, its super easy to install the crossmember in a convenient location now, but that may not result in the proper rake once the spring is installed next year.

A few pics of your setup would be great as well...;) :D

Wow Bill so many variables. Do you want the Ivo stance or the Grabowski rake that I was after. Is your framed Zd or strait? You just need to do the math on your T. Just remember you can't tell much by looking at your car in a small garage. You need to pull it out and stand back some and really look.

I want to keep the car as it sits and I'm hoping to get it close without resorting to majorly dropped axle brackets etc.
The Math I need to do I don't know the numbers!
Eg. Expected spring compression...although that depends on leaf count and lengths anyway so it's still iffy at best.

The frame has a good Z now anyway so I think I'll just place the crossmember "in the position" and deal with the spring next winter during install to get ride height where I want it.

If something has to change then, its not earth shattering really.

Small garages really do limit your ability to eyeball stuff...and mine is on top of a steep driveway AND the car isn't running at the moment.
(We won't even mention the snow...I'm in denial. :( LoL)

Hello , I think your "in the position" will work because you can raise or lower the rear height by where you mount the spring on the rear end brackets:)
