Just picked this up a few weeks ago been searching for a few years now. This is my first early Ford build so I'm going to be asking a lot of questions, it has some rust in the subrails that is my main concern right now, still debating on model A or 32 rails. Here's a few pics Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I would use 32 rails....Dirtys shop in Combine does excellent work if you need to farm out the frame build or any part....Rusty is first cl***.....have fun
everyone does deuce rails. use an A frame. make it rgiht. model A's look great on 32 rails but its overdone. that body looks like a great start. are we going to see flathead power? hopefully..? nice car!
MEAT MARKET next to Planned Parenthood!...... that's funny!!! Doesn't attending the meat market result in a trip to PP? "A" coupe is cool, I forget how big the back window is. I see and like the heavily chopped and forget the stock rear window dimension. I would say A-frame if channeling and Deuce if highboy! Just my op! I have an "A" frame for my 34' pickup. It is missing lower firewall and bottom 7" of back of cab so it kind of screams, "channel me!" Have fun!
Overdone?, possibly. But 32 rails look way better than an A frame...which is why its done so often. I switched half way through and still have the A frame up against the wall in my shop. One thing to note is that you'll have a fair amount of work in fitting the subrails to a 32 frame, but it looks as though you'd need to replace a good portion of those anyway. Great looking body to start with.

Replace the sub rails first, bolt to your "A" frame and then install patch panels and then start building.. Have fun...
