Ratroy - you really took me back with the trail bike. Built the kit ages ago because the Yamaha was my dream bike. Still want one.
wheels/tires from the Monogram Lil Coffin kit, about the only thing I like from that kit other than the Hemi....those wheels/tires look good on anything!

Finished this Revell '57 Ford. The Holmon-Moody decal on the front fender is a hint at what's under the hood: A 429 NASCAR engine!
Thought I'd better move this to the right place Hi all I recently finished this 33 Willys using a stock height resin body from Ed at Drag City Castings. I used an old floor pan/chassis from my spares box and an engine from one of the Revell 32's with a twin Predator Carb manifold.Not shown in the pics are the headers and the slightly modified exhaust system from the Rev 32 kit The chassis was cleaned up and unwanted holes/mounts etc were filled or removed. A flat crossmember was added to the front for the transverse spring Front and rear ends are also from a Rev 32 kit. I shortened the rear radius rods for the 32 rear end and added Rat Roaster wheels and tires. The 32 rear end is unmodified. The dash was smoothed and a photo-etched gauge panel added. I had to put in a small transmission tunnel to clear the gearbox. Seat is cut from the Speedwagon floor panel and scribed Evergreen was used to try to match the pleated seat pattern. The body needed only minimal cleanup but I had to spend a lot of time trimming and gringing to get the front fenders to line up with the running boards - I dry fitted all the parts before painting but found that during assembly the chassis pushed the running boards out when I put it up into the body so I had to go back and re trim. I added a small filler panel between the lower rear fenders This was made by widening a Speedwagon gas tank cover use (i used 2 cover to make one longer one) Paint is Testors Gloss Yellow Chris
Thank you, the basic kit is Revell's '57 Ford Custom, the engine is from a Polar Lights NASCAR Torino kit and the wheels and tires are from a Revell '32 Ford kit.
Not a custom (yet) but here's an old 1/87 scale Ford panel made by Varney back in the 60s. I've got a couple more of these somewhere I think, but this is the only one I found so far. They were molded in clear plastic with black wheels so you could paint them any way you liked.
Hope this is the right spot to post this. Just finished a 1/8 scale roadster, converted a deuce to a '31, 1955 Olds for power. Based on a real one, from 1963.
This is the last model I worked on. Started it in 2009. Is a 1949 Ford Coupe. Need to get back on it,but life's been in the way a lot lately. Brad
Oldshool55, That's impressive! 1/8 scale is fun and intimidating at the same time. It's big and easy to work with, but the pressure is on to create realism. Job well done.
LiveWire, are you trying to make a Kaizer? Cool idea! Also, did you know that bleach will remove the chrome from the bumper?
I am just building a custom. Thought I would use the 57 Chevy front pieces and the side body lines near the door. I do know about bleach,but thank you.

I have a thing for '36 Fords and I just had to have a set or two. The chopped one is the ongoing project, the gray one is an original issue with polished styrene .
Where did or how did you build an Olds Motor? I'm building a 32 five window and would like to put a olds in it,Cheers Nochop

The ragtop is really cool...the original issue by Monogram was molded in an actual 1936 Ford color. I have several glue bombs I'm trying to redo. Your club has a really nice website, links to lots of great builds !!!
