Here are some family cars that I do know about...

My grandfather in his 1919 Stutz and next to his 1929-30 Packard convertible sedan when he moved from Ohio to New York around 1937

My grandfather's 1929 Duesenberg J Murphy bodied town car (or possibly a Derham body) that had an open chauffeur's compartment. Bought in New York City in 1946 for $800, wrecked by a logging truck in the Catskills after my grandfather sold it in 1951. The frame was salvaged and I believe Randy Ema knows its whereabouts. The rear half of the body was saved and used on another Duesenberg that was created from a combination of bodies in recent years. I have a picture of that car from a recent show on my laptop I'll post later.

My grandfather's 1947 Cadillac convertible he bought in 1949. He also loved his Packards.

More family car pictures. My dad's '49 Merc convertible he had in Garden City, New York in 1960. I'd love to know its whereabouts today.

My dad's '36 Ford Phaeton that he bought July 4th, 1955. We still have this car today.

My grandfather's 1931 Mercedes SS convertible

Cars in posts 4 5 & 6 look to be the same and one on left resembles a 1928 Buick, one on right may be a 1928-'29 Cadillac?

The one in post #3 looks like a 1926 Stutz.

WOW! What a great collection of cars, your grandfather sure had good taste in automobiles. Is that Bugatti GP car that is just to the right one of his? I'll be back to ID some of the cars later. Bob[IMG]

Also #1 is probably a 1923? Pierce Arrow, some seemed to have "can" lights rather than the snail eyes and finally #2 is most likely a Caddy from the teens.

That looks like a Duesenberg logo on the radiator shell, may be a Model A Duesenberg fron the mid 1920's. [IMG]

Awesome! Thanks! I googled your leads and I agree...the only thing I see different on the '28 Buick is the ribs in the front bumper- 3 vs 4, but it could be the picture throwing me off. Everything else is spot on.

I think that optional headlight feature that looked like a more common car was called a "New York" front end. Bob :)

I've been googling your replies and I definitely agree with you guys...thanks! I can't pin down the exact year Cadillac in pic #2...but the round logo makes sense. Buick was square.

Is there a date on this photo? Looks like it may be a car show fron the 1940's with the paper on the hood and windsheils of the closed car. Have you tracked down any of the cars to find out were they are today? Thanks again for posting the photos. Bob [IMG]

Thanks! I found this picture of a Bugatti and Jag in the same album...both pictures taken on the same day in 1950, so it might be a different Bugatti than the one next to my grandfather's Crane Simplex because he had that for sale in 1947...
