I recently came across a great deal on a Hudson pickup. Does anyone have an idea as to what they are worth and/or where to find parts such as a dash for these trucks. If it absolutely perfect, show room condition it is worth $18,000. Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you.

There are quite a few Hudson fans at the AACA forum, and I expect there are a few Hudson forums as well. They would be the ones to ask about parts.

  3. I wouldn't let concerns about the dash or resale value deter you from that project.

If you already think it's a good deal, there's your answer. I see what looks like most of what you need and what's not there you'd probably want to replace anyway.

It's a good shot at building a truck that most folks don't have or may have never seen for sure.

Online auction sites seem to have a bunch of dash parts and complete dashes since most of that stuff will ship. That would be one of the places I started looking.

I took a peek around and it looks like interior parts from a Hudson Super Six should work.

If your all fired up for a Hudson pickup, a guy had one for sale the classifieds a week or so ago. His was more complete and in better shape and I think he was asking around $1900 for it. It had what looked like a Ford 390 in it for an engine and a four speed.

It's just a name. They were all "Big Boy" because they were all 3/4 ton, unlike those wimpy Ford F100 and Chev half tons.

Thanks guys for the great info. I'm debating on making it a rat and possibly restoring it later. I've been trying to decide what grill I would put on it.
