I am trying to help out a friend Her husband passed and she is of course trying to raise a buck or two She had these hanging in the garage I know the photos aren't good, but the best I have right now She seems to think they came off a 27 Dodge Looking for any help on figuring out what they came off Crossbar looks to be chrome I know the lenses are mixed, can anyone tell me which is correct The mounting ends, where they bolt to the fender looks unique Any and All Help will be much appreciated THANKS
Those are from a 1931 Dodge Brothers DH6......either lens is correct. The Twolite is for the made in Detroit car. The Depress Beam is the Canadian model lens.
Just a verification....the dark blue and black car is a Detroit made DH6. The lighter blue and black car is the Canadian made DH6.
The chrome was added to the sportier models such as the rumble seat coupe and the dual sidemount spare sedans, although I have seen the standard sedans with the chrome bar. Mine are both business coupes with the painted bar. You can see the chrome here on this rumble seat, dual sidemount coupe... The weird thing was that they painted under the lamps and the chrome showing was usually only on the middle part of the bar.
Can you get pads for the bar for these. I have a 31 light bar I am going to use on my 26 chrysler Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I have seen the headlamp bar pads on Ebay. I don't think they have the thin metal inside the rubber as my originals do, but they look like they would work. Look also under "1931 Chrysler CM6", 1931 Plymouth and "1931 DeSoto SA6" for those pads. "Metro Molded Parts" may have them.
