WOW that is kick ass!! makes me want to have the interior redone in white!!(red now) I do have a 1964 buick wildcat grill to make a floater any one able to add it...I am adding a bullet to center where the cat emblem was..

 

Just got the top laced, flaked and candied. Lookin for options for body color, it will be a solid color. Thinkin a blue close to current color. PS, I have wheels waiting to be mounted.

James, this reminds me of the old Rod & Custom magazine "Dollar-a-Pound" Roadster. In 1955, R&C did a series of articles by OCee Ritch and artist Joe Henning on a proposed "modern" roadster. Your rendering looks like an update of that concept.

I'll see if I have a copy of the magazine to scan for comparison.

How about red with red interior.....

 

Can someone do my wheels and top a dark but still bright green (nothing like a forrest green) with metal flake and then another picture of it with green wheels and a black top? Oh, and blacked out windows on both. Thanks guys! I could never do some of the stuff I see done on this post. I dont have the patience

Not as shown, as far as I know. The articles were intended to get rodders thinking about what could be done. For example, start looking at sports cars and compacts for parts and ideas.

But in 1963, Tex Smith debuted the XR6 roadster, designed by Steve Swaja. It was developed from the same line of thinking.

 

Metropolitan body with the nose (maybe a little bit more rounder to fit the body)

It has a red dash now but I have both red and black seats.. that's easily changed...If I find the right color I will send it out for a matching upholstery job....

That color is killer...why a satin?

 

I saw a red satin 41 at a show and it was sweet and aren't satins hot right now??

 

I just fixed something that was bothering me:

The front end modifications make the front wheels look as if they're sitting too far back, so I stretched the wheelbase a bit while leaving the body alone.

 

I've been thinking about doing this for awhile, but need you Pshop guru's to help. I want to put the '54 coupe front end on the '63 Hawk. And help would be appreciated, if you think it would look like hell, let me know too.
