Buick wheels on my '63 LeSabre, I'm ***uming not stock, but definitely Buick manufacture. Can you guyz help me narrow down the years these were made and the models they came on? Need some of the inner clip rings which secure the center caps to the wheel. Hate to lose those center pieces…
    THANX, Hunter

Theyre called "road wheel" optional wheels on many Buicks...I think they started in 1965 and continued off and on for many years. My brother had a 1986 or so Buick full sized wagon that had them...

As far as the clips go...you can get some other caps that have all the retaining fingers in place...or put a retainer that gets screwed on from behind with the wheel off the car. The 1969-70 Camaro and Chevelle had that kind of center cap retainer setup. The stock center cap retaining fingers are held on with screws I think so im sure you can make something up...

Wheel Vintique has repro's for 35 bucks a pop. Google is indeed your friend. If I can't find OEM's I'll get a set of these. I LIKE the look of that Buick wheel… Hunter

Yes, Road wheels. You center cap isn't correct for that wheel, I think it is for the small car wheel. The correct style is usually larger and fits over the center so the spoke seem to run into it. I may be wrong, they used that same style wheel for many years.

Either The Parts Place or Ames (maybe both) sell a bolt-on conversion for the early style Pontiac Rally II center caps so they can't fly off or get easily stolen. Not sure if it'd be a direct swap onto the Buick rally wheels but it's definitely worth looking into, the clips do like to come loose and people do steal these things, unfortunately.

Oldolds is right...the center cap shown is for Buick road wheel that was used on the 4 3/4" pattern applications like Skylarks and such...

  10. I've seen other 63-64 Buicks with these wheels, enough to think they could be factory.

Buick book even shows them on a '64, I didn't see them in the options list but it's long and I didn't read that close.

Those wheels were factory for sure in '64 and possibly, '63....but I am certain about '64. They continued for many years thereafter.......A high quality wheel in terms of the plating durability.

M1Lover- i have a PDF on the identification of Buick Rally Wheels. If ya want a copy shoot me a PM with your email address.
They Road Wheels were an option on the 1964 Buick Cars, they are a completely different color and have a different center cap.

Buick road wheels that had the nice curved rim were made from the beginning to 1970 (early to 802 to 853 rim codes ), and then, from 1971 (895 rim code) the wheels had a flatter rim and a taller center. (basically if you can put a quarter on the lip of the rim you have the later style)
