1966 Ford 427 Fairlane and just starting on a project to convert the Revell California Charger kit into a replica of the Howard Cams Rattler
Nice detail painting on that 427, Coyote. Barracuda looks great as well. Got this super-clean AMT '58 Bonneville built from an original 1958 3-in-1 kit off eBay a couple weeks ago. Not cheap, but considering the amount of work it saves to start with this rather some over-glued, paint-slathered gluebomb, it was worth it! Used Scalecoat Stripper to clean off the silver trim painting and the flat brown from the interior. Came up really nice. Reworked the basic chassis for a lowered stance and fitted wheelbacks from a '65 Grand Prix with early '60s AMT tires with handpainted WWs and repro Johan '58 Dodge Lancer caps. Traded the front bumper for a cleaned-up and replated one I had for another Bonneville model. The head and tail lights will eventually be replated. Since these shots were taken I'm well along converting it to a hardtop using a roof from a REALLY rough Bonne HT body. It'll be a Watson-style mild custom.

Picked up the panel last night from hobby lobby, and special ordered the sedan a few months back from another hobby shop in town. Looking forward to building these.
Working on and off on a Monogram 1/8 scale 1932 Ford Highboy. Car will be Black with Red Flathead and Red seats. Should I go with Red Steel Wheels or Black Steel Wheels? Whitewalls on no?
I bought this off of a guy on e-bay several years ago. I lost the info on which ERTL Model A kit to use in building it. Does anyone remember who made these ar which kit to use? Thanks Rod
Looks like a Flintstone. I got mine off an ebay seller too. I didn't have a frame so I scratchbuilt one using the frame from the from the AMT '29 "A" Matchbox roadster as a pattern. I'm not going to be using fenders on mine but I know for sure the fenders from the Matchbox roadster and the Revell "Rat Rod" pickup will not fit at all. IMHO Flintstone bodys don't fit anything well. Now I only buy bodies from Modelhaus, Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland and Ed Fluck (Drag City Casting).

Thanks for the info. It was the only 29 Model A Delivery Sedan I could find. Several Panel deliveries and a few 30-31 deliveries. Since my main project is the real thing, I thought it would be nice to build a model of it also. I do not really like the fact that the model I think he suggests to use has the wide coupe/ roadster fenders. It just does not look right. Will look at the other vendors you mentioned. Thanks Rod
