I just got this from lownrusty. He bought in the Bay area of California. I saw it and told him if he ever decided to sell let me know. Well he did and now I have it. Here is all we know the guy that owned it last bought it and did not build it. The guy also had a Barris built deuce roadster though the widow would not part with it. I hope lownrusty convinces her.

The car was built in the 60's it is a 26-27 T cab with a modified model A roadster backend graphed to it. The wheel wells were smoothed and the body work on this car is very good not a hack job. The most unique thing are the wishbones they have a portions of hairpins graphed to them. This is on both the front and rear wishbones. The front suspension was all chromed (axle, backing plates, spindles, bones, tierod). I am hoping some one has history on this car I would love to bring it back to it former glory. I am going to post a bunch of pics any help would be cool.

From the looks of this car there was a lot of fabrication work going on. Also some "different" alternations, meaning not mainstream. That said there might not have been any official (magazine)coverage, but I can't believe that the owner/builder did not do***ent the transformation. If that is the case you may not discover any help to "restore" this thing unless the origonal owner/builder finds out you have it and volunteers some help. If I were you I would scour the local area where it was built and see if you can unearth someone who remembers the car.

Just reread your post and realize my suggestion would be impractical unless you can get someone on the west coast willing to do some legwork for you.

I totally agree. I am hoping some of the more experienced member from the Bay area may remember the car. To help me see if the builder is still around. Lownrusty is trying to get more info, but the women he got it from just doesn't know any more history.

Can't help you with the history, but is that a T with the rear half of a 28-29 roadster body on it? Just wondering. I really like the shape of the body.

    Laidout,

Yep that is what it is. Kind of interesting... I really thought it looked cool. With the way it comes up high in the back it kinda reminded ob the Isky Roadster, even though they are both completely different.

    Hey Tom,

Funny you should ask if it ever stops raining I am going to take some progress pics. It really changed looks mainly because I wacked the top off and streched the cab 6 inches. I always liked SoWhats RPU and it is a bit like that. I have to finish one door yet and then floor and start making it drive after that. So watch for an update soon. Later...and how is the 60 flatty coming?

Do the "Bay Area Roadsters" still exist?? That group or any trackable members would be good sources.

Bay Area is a pretty big piece of real estate. you know what city it came from?

I was looking at the first picture trying to figure out what the heck was going on with the windshield when I realised what I thought was the top of the windshield was actually the fenders of the traler in the background. woops.

Exactly...East Bay(Fremont to Oakland)? Peninsula(Redwood City to S.F.)? or the South Bay(San Jose and down to Gilroy)? Any Names ***ociated with it?
PM me if you don't feel comfortable giving out names.
