Love the rod the fender and bumper combo really changes the mojo of the car .. love it ,love it .. question .. I'm looking to do the same type of project ... I have a 50 Plymouth 3 window coupe I just picked up ... I had to decided between a 331 or a 325 Hemi so for the 50 I'm going to run the 325 with the Mopar nv3500 5 speed out of a Dakota .. I already have a hydraulic roller cam from Hot Heads for it so she should run pretty good ..the 331 will go in a 37 Plymouth with a 671 blower with an 833 4 speed and 4.10 8 3/4 .. anyway .. I wanted to run the rack&pinion steering in the 50, most of the guys seem to run the Cavalier power steering unit but you chose to run the manual and I was just wondering why is that
i chose the manual rack for the simplicity, plus with the big stock steering wheel it seems to work nicely. if you want a manual rack look it up as a sunfire rack. your projects sound cool as hell especially the blown hemi!
